Les chutes Victoria font partie des plus belles du monde. Elles se situent sur le fleuve Zambèze et ont la particularité de s'étendre sur 1700 mètres. Elles se jettent dans une faille étroite et ont une hauteur d'environ une centaine de mètres. Selon la saison les chutes Victoria proposent un spectacle différent. Là au mois d'octobre c'est la période de basses eaux, mais l'exceptionnelle dernière saison des pluies nous a permis de profiter tout de même du spectacle de ces millions de mètres cubes d'eau charriés toutes les minutes.
J'ai effectué la visite du côté Zimbabwe : promenade dans le parc en face des chutes de manière à profiter de tous les points de vue.
J'ai poursuivi la visite en prenant de la hauteur : tour en hélicoptère de manière à voir comment les chutes ont façonné le paysage et à quel point l'eau peut creuser la roche.
