This is a simply exquisite antique moonstone and diamond cluster ring. Set on an 18ct gold band, this stunning cabachon moonstone glows a wonderful blue/grey colour as it sits high amidst 10 bright and lively diamonds. The diamonds framing the central stone give the ring a very pretty flower motif.
This ring bears its maker's mark; W.E.G but sadly, the date and assay mark have been rubbed. That said, given its style I would date it to the 1930's. It weighs 2.35g and is a UK size J, which is a US size 4 3/4, but it could be re-sized by your local jeweller.
Please have a look at the pictures and video and dont hesitate to get in touch if you require any further information.
About Moonstones
When Moonstones were first discovered in Ancient Rome, it was believed that they were formed from solidified beams of moonlight. It was also thought that Diana, the goddess of the moon, could be seen within the stone, and that it would bestow love, wisdom and good fortune upon the wearer. Other cultures have associated the moonstone with good luck powers, and a symbol of love and passion.
