One of the pieces from our curated collection for the Fashion Show ‘ A look into 1930’s Fashions ‘ exclusive to the Festival Of Vintage, York is this exquisite 1930’s 2 piece set consisting of a dress and Jacket set. Cut on the bias, sleeveless and featuring a sweeping collar detailing finished with marquesite  embellishment. It’s additional belt is great to create some shape to the waistline. Lovely worn with and without the Jacket for day and evening wear, this piece is very versatile. The garment would benefit from being worn with a slip which could be in a contrast colour. 

The set is made from a beautiful chiffon with an almost mottled like pattern to the background in Black and White and then has very stylised deco flowers in soft fawns, beiges, blues and powder greens on top. A very typical colour pallet from the deco period. This dress would make a fabulous addition to any 30’s lovers collection and would be lovely worn with a cloche hat, opera coat and Mary Jane strapped shoes.

Ideally you need to measure smaller than these measurements due to there being no openings. The garment will pull in at the waist with a belt. See Details.

 Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - The belt needs to have a buckle or press stud fastening added to be used properly. Can be made up to a 32’ waist. We would advise that Most seams need to be reinforced for the longevity of wearability. A few loose threads in seamwork. These do not detract from the wearability of the garment. Freshly laundered and ready to wear.
