SQ-Rack packs SQ’s 96kHz XCVI core into a shallow 4U rack-mount form factor with built-in I/O, powerful SLink connectivity, option cards, and multichannel USB. Enjoy hands-on controls and customisable screens, along with remote access via SQ apps for ultimate control of your audio.

Core

SQ-Rack is built on Allen & Heath’s renowned 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine, delivering exceptional high-resolution audio quality, ultra-low latency of <0.7ms and variable bit depths for optimised dynamic range. XCVI allows SQ to handle 48 input channels at 96kHz, with massive mix headroom thanks to a 96bit accumulator, and the sheer power to embed our acclaimed DEEP plugins into all 48 input channels and all mixes.

Connectivity

SQ-Rack features 16 high-quality onboard mic preamps and 3 stereo line inputs, and thanks to the integrated SLink port, adding more inputs and outputs is easy. Up to 48 mic inputs can be added via Allen & Heath’s extensive “Everything I/O” range of audio expanders. You can just slot in one of our 64×64 audio networking cards for seamless integration into Dante and Waves networks, digital FoH/Monitor splits with SQ, Avantis and dLive mixers via SLink, or for MADI connectivity with third-party equipment.

Control

Despite SQ-Rack’s faderless design, there are no compromises when it comes to control.

The SQ-Rack’s faders screen provides instant access to level controls, plus 8 SoftKeys and 4 Soft Rotaries – all assignable with LCD displays – so you get to choose which functions you have at your fingertips.

The SQ MixPad app for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS provides access to the SQ-Rack’s mixing functions from anywhere in the venue, with an offline mode allowing preparation of scenes or shows away from the venue.

For less technical users, the SQ-Control app provides simplified access in-app in addition to a dedicated screen on the SQ-Rack itself. SQ-Control can be configured by an admin user to deliver just the right amount of control for each application or dry hire, whether that’s single fader control of background music from behind the bar or controlling live stream levels in a House of Worship.

Processing

Every input has HPF, a super-fast gate with sidechain and filter, a musical 4-band parametric equaliser with RTA, and Peak/RMS compressor for control and shaping of levels and transients. Mixes have both a parametric and 28 band graphic EQ along with compressor as standard, all ready to switch in when required.

Add-Ons

With SQ-Rack’s DEEP processing architecture, add studio quality compressor and preamp emulations to your inputs and mixes—no extra setup, zero latency, and all integrated seamlessly into your mixer.

FX

Allen & Heath has a well-earned reputation for crafting FX emulations that rival the very best plug-ins, but with none of the associated hassle. SQ-Rack is armed with 8 stereo FX engines and features the acclaimed RackExtra library of emulations of legendary classic reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulators and more. All FX have dedicated stereo returns, so you don’t need to consume input channels.

AMM

Ideal for conferences and multi-mic environments, the advanced AMM feature offers two independent 24-channel mixers or a combined 48-channel setup—enabling clear, consistent sound in complex, multi-speaker settings with zero added latency.
