Proflow's Oil Separator is designed to efficiently filter out unwanted suspended oil droplets from the crankcase ventilation system (PCV) from entering the intake system. Oil entering to intake will promote pinging problems as well as lowering your fuel octane. Long term effects will be oil build build up on spark plugs and valve stems etc, effecting ignition and cfm flow. Crafted from black anodized billet aluminium, it features both an inlet and outlet engineered to remove oil vapor from the clean air recirculated back into your intake system. This is achieved through a cleanable stainless steel mesh screen and an integrated oil deflector, which effectively catches oil in the lower part of the housing. For added convenience, the unit includes a dipstick for quick oil level checks or a plug for a clean smooth look. Drain plug on the bottom lets you periodically empty the oil you have caught. Comes with an integrated mounting bracket for easy installation. For those who understand the benefits of retaining a PCV on their car will know that it helps with ring seal, minimises oil leaks from rear main and can actually make power, but the key to reaping the benefits is to remove the oil from what is being recirculated!
