【Jazz Signature: Alan Kwan x Eugene Pao】香港爵士吉他手跨時代的音樂傳承

8月2日，香港爵士結他代表Alan Kwan將與香港爵士樂傳奇前輩Eugene Pao在CODA Jazz Kissa同台演出。這不僅是一場音樂表演，更是一次跨越世代的藝術對話。

On August 2nd, Hong Kong jazz guitarists Alan Kwan and legendary veteran Eugene Pao will share the stage at CODA Jazz Kissa. More than just a performance, this event promises a cross-generational artistic conversation.

Since returning from the U.S. in the 1980s, Eugene Pao has been a driving force in Hong Kong's jazz scene through his technical mastery and profound musicianship. His collaborations with international greats like Jack DeJohnette and Michael Brecker have mirrored the evolution of jazz in the city. Meanwhile, Golden Melody Award-winner Alan Kwan represents the new guard—his band Invisible Architecture and their album Between Now and Never showcase contemporary jazz innovation while honoring tradition.

The concert will highlight their distinct yet complementary approaches: Pao's playing is rooted in classic jazz vocabulary, while Kwan reinterprets the genre through a modern lens. Both, however, share a deep respect for jazz's foundational language.
