The 50mm objective gathers enough light to reveal stars down to roughly magnitude 9 in dark skies, making it far more useful than a red-dot finder for locating faint deep-sky targets. The 6° field of view covers a wide enough patch of sky to star-hop efficiently, while 8x magnification provides enough detail to identify star patterns and confirm you’re on target before switching to the eyepiece. Multi-coated optics reduce reflections and improve contrast.

The quick-release bracket snaps on and off without tools. Compatible with the Explore Scientific Hybrid Finder Scope Base, standard finder base, and T-shaped Essential Series base.
