Original to c.1920, this Art Deco emerald and diamond cluster ring is beautifully proportioned! Set to centre with a natural emerald with a stunning cool-toned green colour. In a rub-over setting and further surrounded by sixteen cushion old-mine cut diamonds, all grain-set in platinum with a millegrain edge border. Each hand-cut, no two old-mine diamonds are ever the same, they have their own individual character, charm and sparkle which makes these diamonds so special!
The cluster follows the rectangular outline of the central emerald and this geometry perfectly reflects the modern ideals of the Art Deco movement. The gallery is particularly refined - a true testament to the master craftsmanship of the early twentieth century! It is notably contemporary looking in design, formed by open linear work which has a certain structured, architectural feel to it. In classic antique spirit, the ring has a pleasingly low profile and sits almost in flush with the finger, making it the comfortable and practical to wear everyday!
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
