An Edwardian target ring, set to centre a 0.73 carat round-cut diamond. The principal stone is secured in a rub-over setting and encircled by three stepped clusters of grain-set diamonds. The clusters have a combined weight of 1.26 carats and bring the total diamond weight to approximately 2 carats. The diamonds are flattered with open back settings, millegrain edging and a fancy scallop-pierced gallery. The ring is finished with cathedral shoulders and a simple shank. Tested platinum, circa 1905.
