For sale here is a Walt Carpenter Browntone -- 8' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod. Made in 2011. Serial no. 211180. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful dark cane with brown wraps and black tipping. Black, gold, and burgundy at the winding check and male ferrules. The tips are distinguished by one or two dots at the ferrules. Cigar grip with only the very lightest of handling marks. Downlocking reel seat hardware complete with acorn cap, over a dark walnut spacer. "W.E. Carpenter Maker" is engraved on the downlocking ring. The ferrules are size 13/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 4.60 oz. Classic action on the medium side of medium-fast with thin tips. A great dry fly rod. Complete with original bag, labeled tube, and hang tag.
