This 1950's dress is in an iridescent royal blue satin fabric with an all all-over jacquard pattern of roses in a kelly green shade.  It's silhouette is distinctly 1950's in style, with a scoop collar, cap sleeves and flared skirt with inverted box pleats. The waistband has a sweet and intricate piping with a stylised, pleated bow sewn above the centre waist.  It has a metal Talon zip at the left side seam (is delicate and a little stiff - no teeth missing but just requires gentle care when using.  Little tip: Apply graphite by rubbing a lead pencil on it - as we did - to help with this which works a treat!  Do this regularly to alleviate for longer term), indicative of it's era of mid 1950's.  It's in exceptional condition for it's age and is a wearable piece of history but also a true investment piece into any vintage aficionado's archive.
