Details: This 18k ring features a smooth flat, striking dendritic agate set in a brushed finish, cushion-shaped bezel setting. The background of the agate is a bright and pearly white - while the dark brown tendril-like matrix within the gemstone create a stunning fern or flower-like silhouette contrast. 

A shop favorite, no two dendritic agate are alike.  Often called picture agate, it is semi-precious chalcedony shot through with trace metals or iron ore. The agates form in nodules left behind in ancient volcanic lava rocks and the heat and the pressure over thousands of years causes the formation of beautiful natural-looking tree or snowflake-like patterns in the stone.
