For sale here is a Hardy Smuggler 8' 2 1/2" 6wt 7pc graphite fly rod. Serial no. MU136956. The rod is in excellent condition. Oddly, though marked as 8' 2 1/2" the rod measures out to be 8' 4 1/2" when fully assembled.

Sanded graphite colored blank with black wraps and red tipping. All of the script and decals remain in excellent condition. The spigot ferrules fit perfectly with a slight gap to allow for wear over time. Witness marks for easy alignment. Cigar grip 5 1/4" in length with the original plastic wrap still in place. The rod was fished with the this in place, still, there is a bit of soiling. Bright aluminum cap and ring reel seat over a cork spacer. The rod weighs a lean 2.45 oz. The action is fast but with much more feel than most modern graphite rods. Though marked for a 6wt line a DT5 would also suit the rod well. This is the ultimate hiking/backpacking rod. Each section is only 15" in length, suitable for even the smallest backpacks. The rod comes with the original bag and original leather tube with brass fittings.
