For sale here is a pre-fire H.L. Leonard Catskill Model 45 bamboo rod - 9' 3/2 for a 5 weight line. The rod is in excellent+ restored condition. All sections are full length and straight. 

Darker straw-colored cane with bright red wraps and full intermediates. Ruby-colored agate stripping guide. Blued reverse-twist English-style guides of a rather small size to accommodate a silk line. Handsome swelled butt. Bronzed ring hook-keeper. Elegant nickel silver checks. Petite cigar grip 4 5/8" in length with moderate soiling and light ridging. There are also a few light indentations. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a varnished butternut spacer. The varnish has made the spacer appear much darker than usual. There is a bit of light wear to the spacer and butt cap. The bright nickel silver ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64 with a good fit. Indented witness marks. The patent is stamped into the butt section female ferrule. The rod weighs 4.40 oz. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast. Well suited for swinging wet flies, the popular method of the day. The rod includes a replacement bag and tube as well as custom hand-turned wood/cork ferrule plugs.
