The Southbend 4241E_NAT gas range uses stainless steel construction for its shelf, sides, and front. The cooking surface employs cast iron grates that can handle any type of pan or pot, and the burners host a non-clog design that allows for the constant and consistent flow of gas. There is a standing pilot that makes igniting the oven easier, as well as a shut-off valve located in the front of the appliance near the burner control knobs. The interior of the oven is lined with porcelain, which protects against corrosion and makes cleaning a breeze, and is made big enough to fit full-sized sheet pans either length-wise or width-wise. The door is spring-balanced, so it will stay open.
