Additional Details: Dragon's Word by Mariano Hernandez was one of 33 first edition lithographs created in four colors for the final (6th) edition of The Situationist Times: International Parisian Edition in 1967. Like the other contributors to this edition, Hernandez’s work reflects the merging of two influential art movements: CoBrA and Figuration Narrative. CoBrA, an avant-garde movement known for its expressive, spontaneous, and vibrant works, often featured elements of fantasy and abstraction. On the other hand, Figuration Narrative, emerging in the 1960s, used figurative imagery to convey social and political stories, often with a pop-art influence.
